As ICASSP 2025 is just a few days away, we are mailing some important practical information to help you through your first day. Please read this carefully before you leave for Hyderabad and have this e-mail communication easily accessible.
Weather in Hyderabad: Hyderabad in April is hot with clear skies. Hyderabad temperature in April ranges from approximately 25.0 C to 39.0 C (77.0 F to 102.0 F), providing a dry & warm climate. Please keep yourself well hydrated and try and wear a cap with a visor or sun glasses & screen when outdoors in the daytime. Please carry your mosquito repellant. There may be an occasional shower in the early part of April.
On Arrival at RGIA (Rahul Gandhi International Airport – Shamshabad, Hyderabad)
Airport Help Desk:
- Location of Desks: A facilitation desk has been set up at the arrival terminal and at the RGIA to help delegates. We encourage you to approach this help desk upon arrival. These desks will have the Conference branding for easy identification.
- Desk Operational Hours: This desk will be operational from 9 PM on Sunday 06th April 2025 till 9 AM on Wednesday 09th April 2025. Staff will manage the desks round the clock and they will be wearing Light Yellow colored T-shirts with Conference logo.
- Airport Taxis: Uber, Ola & many other reliable taxi services are available at counters in the basement of the RGIA (Rahul Gandhi International Airport – Shamshabad, Hyderabad). These are metered and air-conditioned taxi service available outside the arrival terminal. The stipulated fare must be paid in Indian Rupees. The driver will give you a receipt for the fares. For the convenience of international participants, there are Foreign Exchange counters located in the Arrival area at the airport. We recommend you exchange some of your currency for Indian Rupees. Only Indian Rupees can be used for commercial transactions. Depending on the taxi service and your hotel, the taxi fare could be between Rupees 1000 (about 12 US dollars) for basic taxi services to Rupees 6000 for luxury cab services.
Conference Venue: Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC)

Getting to HICC: HICC is 40 min and 35 kms away from the International Airport, it is well connected with hired taxis (costs about Rs. 1000 – 1500 depending on the time of your arrival) and Aero Express (Airport Shuttles) which operate every hour to fixed places. Delegates traveling to HICC can choose Madhapur stop (costs about Rs. 280). HICC is also well connected to all parts of the city, Delegates can hire Taxis (recommended), Autorickshaws or Public Transport which is economical to reach the venue.
Hyderabad Metro: Hyderabad has a city metro and the closest station to the venue is Hitech City Station which is about 2 kms from the Conference venue. The route map is available at https://www.ltmetro.com/metro-network-map/
People coming from various parts of the city should cross the Shilparamam at Madhapur. Thereafter they should take a right turn after, at the HITEX metallic Charminar-like structure and proceed along that road to reach HICC.
Facilities at HICC:
- There is an ATM (Indian Rupees only) at the Convention Centre
- A transportation desk – will be located at the lobby level of the Convention Centre, next to the registration desk
- Information Desk – an information desk is located at the entrance of HICC
- Tours & Travels – a tour desk will be located at the lobby level, next to the registration desk
Registration: The on-site Registration counter will be at the venue and all delegates are requested to come and register and collect their badges and lanyards. You are requested to always wear your conference badge. Entry to the Convention Centre and all official functions will be based on your badge, so please wear it at all times. You will also need the badge for access to food services at the convention center. In case of loss of badge, please inform the registration desk immediately. There will be an INR 2000 (approximately UD$ 23) fee to replace a lost badge. The QR Code printed on the lost badge will be deactivated.

09 April, Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
10 April, Thursday: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
11 April, Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Kindly note that there will be no onsite registrations before 9:00 AM on 06th April
Local Transportation: We have arranged EV shuttle services arranged for delegates to travel from listed/ selected hotels to the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on April 7th through 11th. Please check the details on the website.

10 April, Thursday: 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM
11 April, Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Taxis hired for the day: Delegates who have directly hired taxis should request the driver to park at the designated car park area.
Taxis at HICC: In case a delegate wishes to leave HICC or requires a taxi, please contact the ‘Quick Ride’ counter next to the registration desk. It may take 30 – 45 mins to get the taxi to the venue.
Dress code: The dress code during all sessions is business casuals. The same will apply to the evening functions.
